AI Customiser Terms & Conditions

These terms cover the AI Neon Sign Generator on neondaddy.co.uk (the "AI customiser"). They sit alongside our general Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Shipping Policy, which still apply. Where these terms are more specific about the AI customiser, these terms win. By ticking the box before you generate a design you confirm that you have read them and agree to them. You must be 18 or over, or using the tool with a parent's or guardian's permission.

1. What the AI customiser is

The AI customiser turns a logo, a piece of artwork, a photo of a sign or a written description into a preview of a real LED neon sign: the design drawn to our tube sizes, checked against what our workshop can bend, with a size and a price. It is a design tool, not the finished sign. Every order placed through it is prepared for production by one of our designers and nothing is made until you have approved a design proof.

2. Your artwork and your rights in it

  • You confirm that you own the artwork, logo, photo or text you upload or describe, or that you have permission to use it — including any fonts, characters, brand names and other people's designs it contains. You are responsible for that permission, and for any claim that arises because it was missing.
  • You keep ownership of your artwork. You give Neon Daddy a licence to store, copy, process and reproduce it — including through the automated tools described below — for the purpose of previewing, proofing, making and delivering your sign, and for dealing with any query about your order.
  • Please do not upload or describe anything unlawful, hateful, pornographic, defamatory or that contains other people's personal information. We may decline to generate, proof or make a design at our discretion, and we will refund anything paid for it.
  • The preview and the production design we create for your sign remain ours until your order is paid for. We will not use your design in our own marketing without asking you first.

3. How the AI works, and where your files go

Your artwork or description is processed by our own measuring and drawing software and by third-party AI image services working under our instructions, in order to produce the preview. Uploads and the previews generated from them are stored securely so that we can prepare your order and so that you can come back to your design. Automated design tools make mistakes: a preview may misspell a word, drop or simplify a detail, or place things slightly differently from your artwork. Please check the preview before you order and tell us anything that needs correcting — the design proof (section 5) is where it is put right.

4. Previews, sizes, colours and prices are estimates

  • Colours vary between screens and cannot be shown exactly. Your sign is made in the LED colours from our range that you or your artwork chose; the proof names them.
  • Size. The width you pick is the overall width of the sign including the acrylic backing. The height, the length of LED tube and the acrylic shape are measured automatically from the preview and are estimates until the proof confirms them.
  • Price. The price shown is for the design, size and options selected, in pounds sterling including VAT, with delivery charged separately at checkout. It is calculated from the automated measurements. If the proof shows that your sign needs a materially different amount of tube or acrylic, we will tell you the revised price before anything is made and you may cancel for a full refund if you do not accept it.
  • Buildability. Some details cannot be made in LED neon at a small size — very fine lines, tiny lettering, tight circles. The tool flags these and our designer will simplify or enlarge them on the proof, or suggest a larger size.

5. Your free design proof

  • Every AI customiser order includes a design proof prepared by a real designer and emailed to you, normally within one working day of ordering.
  • You may ask for reasonable adjustments to the proof — colours, size, spacing, simplifying a detail. Up to two rounds of adjustments are included; a completely new design is treated as a new order.
  • Production starts only when you approve the proof. Our lead times and any express production you have chosen run from your approval, not from the date you ordered. Delays in approving delay your sign.
  • If we cannot reach you about your proof for 14 days we will send reminders, and we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

6. Changes, cancellations and refunds

  • You can cancel at any time before you approve the proof, for a full refund.
  • Your sign is made to order to your design, so once you have approved the proof and production has begun it cannot be cancelled or returned because you have changed your mind. This is the personalised-goods exception under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
  • If your sign arrives damaged, faulty or not as shown on the approved proof, tell us as soon as you can. Within 30 days of delivery you may reject it for a full refund; after that we will repair or replace it, or refund you if we cannot, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and our Refund Policy.
  • Indoor signs carry our three-year warranty; waterproof (IP65) signs carry a one-year warranty. Accessories and power supplies are covered as described on the product page.

7. Fair use of the tool

The AI customiser is free to use for designing a sign you may buy from us. Please do not use automated scripts, bulk generation or scraping, resell or republish the previews, or try to make it produce content that breaks section 2. We may limit the number of designs a device or account can generate, and we may change, pause or withdraw the tool at any time. Designs you have already ordered are not affected.

8. Emails about your design (optional)

Ticking the marketing box is separate from agreeing to these terms and is never required to design or order. If you tick it and give us your email address we will send you a link to your design, your discount code and occasional Neon Daddy news and offers. You can unsubscribe with one click in any email, and you can ask us to delete your details at any time. How we look after your data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for making your sign to the approved proof with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses caused by relying on a preview that has not yet been proofed, for content you uploaded without the right to use it, or for losses that are not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

10. Changes to these terms, and how to reach us

We may update these terms as the tool develops; the version and date at the top tell you which one you accepted, and the current version always applies to new designs.
